Google Calendar is one of Google’s most widely used applications for both PCs and smartphones. Despite its simplicity and amazing utility for professionals or individuals, it still seems outdated and ignored by Google. Many users have had problems with data loss, which is probably the worst thing that can happen.

For example, you moved to a new device or you deleted your Gmail account from your current device. In theory, once you’ve synced your data after restoring your Gmail account, everything should be there now. All events and schedules. But as some users have pointed out, this is not the case.

To this end, we have conducted research to help you solve the problem and remove the events. For other bypass solutions, see below.

Use a PC to check container.

After some time, Google decided it was worthwhile to store and restore the deleted events for a period of 30 days. At the moment this is only possible on the computer. So, if some of your events are missing, you can search for them in the archive system. If the problem is not sync-related, chances are you can find the missing event.

If you are not sure how to proceed, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open Google Calendar in your computer’s browser and sign in to your Gmail account.
  2. Go to My Calendar on the left and open the Calendar drop-down menu.
  3. Click on View Waste.
  4. Here you will find events that may have been deleted.
  5. Select the events you want to recover and click Recover Selected Events.

Note that Google Calendar only stores events that have been deleted for 30 days. If you can’t find them or no events are detected, switch to alternative solutions.

Reset fuse

It is well known that guarantees are a guarantee. You should regularly back up all available data in case something goes wrong. The same goes for Google Calendar. There are so many scenarios that can lead to data loss, and most of them are not even user errors. So if you have exported Google Calendar on time, you can now recover all the missing appointments and solve the problem in a few steps.

Again: To import your saved calendars into your Google Account, you’ll need to use a web browser on your computer and proceed from there.

Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open Google Calendar in a PC web browser.
  2. Open the settings in the top right corner.
  3. Open the calendar card.
  4. Click on Import calendar.
  5. Extract the ICS or CSV files from the exported ZIP file.
  6. Click on Select File and select the exported file that belongs to your calendar.
  7. Choose Import.

This should help you find the missing events and solve the problem. Once you sync Google Calendar on your Android phone, you should have access to all your appointments again, just like before the problem occurred. And if you’re not sure how to export calendars for later use, follow these instructions:

  1. Open Google Calendar in a PC web browser.
  2. Open the settings in the top right corner.
  3. Open the calendar card.
  4. Click on Export calendars.
  5. This will activate an automatic download of your calendars. Calendars are stored in a ZIP file.

Enable Gmail events

Not all events are shared exclusively (parties or birthdays) or created manually (to-do tasks), some may come from Gmail. And if your problem is related to imported Gmail events, there may be a simple solution. By default, Google Calendar should be able to access it, but it’s possible that the settings have changed since you restored your account.

We therefore recommend that you check the settings and see for yourself:

  1. Open the Google Calendar application on your Android device.
  2. Open the drop down menu with 3 lines.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Press Gmail Events.
  5. Enable the ability to add events from Gmail.

Also make sure the time and date are set correctly on the device.

Clear request cache

The stored cache is temporarily usable, but once it’s built up, it can cause problems with any application, including the native Google Calendar for Android. To do this, we recommend going to the application settings, clearing the application cache, and then restarting the device. This is to clarify a possible delay in the application and address the problem.

  1. Press Settings.
  2. Applications are open.
  3. Go to Google Calendar.
  4. Open the memory.
  5. Click the Clear Cache button. How to restore missing Google Calendar events in Android
  6. Restart the device.
  7. Let the application resynchronize.

If that’s not enough, check out the latest workaround we’ve listed.

Reinstallation of the application

Eventually, you may want to restart and reinstall the application. This will result in a new automatic recovery and it is likely that your missing events will be restored. On the other hand, if the application is to be installed on your device as an integrated tool, you can reset it to its factory settings. However, we recommend that you check more closely for updates.

Follow the instructions below to reinstall the Google Calendar application:

  1. Open the tray or application menu of your device.
  2. Press and hold the Google Calendar app, drag it up and remove it. How to restore missing Google Calendar events in Android
  3. Restart the device.
  4. Open the Play Store and search Google Calendar.
  5. Press Install.
  6. Once you have completed the edit, check if any events are still missing from the application.

That should be enough. We sincerely hope that this reading has been helpful to you. Don’t forget that you have many alternative customers.
