7 Best PC MOBA Games for 2020

When a small group of Warcraft III fans launched the first multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) in Defense of the Ancients (DotA) mode in 2003, few people had any idea how popular the strategic video game subgenre MOBA would become. By 2020, gamers will be able to choose from a wide range of top-level MOBA PC games, many of which accept tournaments in which professional players from around the world compete for titles and prizes.

But, which one do you have to play? MOBA games can be very long and tedious when players learn to climb stairs and fight at the top of the stairs. So, which one do you want to try? Here are the seven best ones you can find on your PC today.

Best MOBA games on PC

1. Legend Play (LOL)

Since its first release in 2009, LoL has become one of the biggest titles in electronic sports, with the tournament’s multi-million dollar jackpot as a scandal. In fact, the Legends League World Cup series of 2017, which ended in November 2017, had an endowment of $5 million.

A great team of 134 champions, frequent updates, a new way to use the other weekend and a traditional game mechanic who is easy to learn but difficult to master.

Perhaps the player base of the LoL because of its very competitive character is rather hostile towards newcomers who are just learning and sometimes make unfortunate mistakes. Games can sometimes take longer, which means players stay in front of the computer longer than they would like. But despite these problems, LOL deserves to be tested by all fans of this genre, if only because it has a great influence on other games.

2. PointA 2 (protection of antiquity 2)

As an extension of the original community-generated DotA for Warcraft III by Blizzard Entertainment : During the chaos, Valve developed and released DotA 2 in 2013 as a free game for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

Compared to LoL, DotA 2 has a more complex game mechanic who needs more time to learn and more skills to succeed in the game. But with the steep learning curve comes a great sense of satisfaction after every murder and every victory.

While LOL can be remarkably unbalanced with its large list of 134 champions, DOTA 2, which also has more than 100 characters, is surprisingly balanced. This can be explained by the greater flexibility of the lines, but also by the game mechanisms such as crawl and stack crawl that allow teams to share their experiences between the heroes.

3. Blacksmith

Unlike LoL and DotA 2, Smite is played as a third party, which makes the game more exciting and sometimes full of action. Smite was developed by Hi-Rez Studios using Unreal Engine 3 and was originally released in 2014 for Windows, then ported to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and MacOS.

All characters in the game come from mythological gods, and the current list contains 93 gods in the game. Each god has fringe attacks or melee attacks, which are themselves divided into magical and physical attacks. There are absolutely no automatic attacks in Smite, and even the most important attacks are movements that can only be carried out with perfect precision if they are sufficiently controlled.

Smite is often praised for its friendly community, where fun is more important than victory. The game itself is very practical, even for beginners, and the micro-transactions are used only to buy products with cosmetic effects.

4. Butlerite

Buttlerite is quite unique because we play MOBA games. It doesn’t compete with the League of Legends, Smith or DOTA 2. In fact, his style is more like that of the World of Warcraft arena. Players jump into the arena and expose them in the style of World of Warcraft.

In Buttlerite you have to be very skilled, because this game is all about timing. Horses, blocks and skill shots – everything must be accurately timed to succeed. This can mean that you need to invest a lot of time in the game to improve your skills. The game is free, but the light is not turned off by the microtransaction.

5. Paladins

The Paladins are on our list, and they have in fact been launched with great success. He certainly has a MOBA style, but there are tons of different champions to face as soon as you enter the game. Every champion is unique, has his own burden. It is indeed possible to fine-tune their strengths and weaknesses to improve them under certain circumstances and in certain combat zones.

Champions also possess a set of skills called talents that look like a burden, but change the way you play champion on the battlefield. As with other major MOBA PC games, players can buy things with their champions during the game. This is done with money earned from killing and shooting targets, so you can equip your champion with the equipment you need to scatter your enemies.

6. Storm heroes (HotS)

Because Blizzard Entertainment thinks their game offers something different than other MOBA games, they call Heroes of the Storm online a fighting hero. Think of HotS as a MOBA-style double that reduces the importance of tracks, i.e. the amount of time players spend splitting into different tracks and killing accomplices for money.

HotS focuses more on team fighting and task mapping. Players play for Blizzard game characters that include traditional archetypes such as tanks, support characters, damage dealers, and more. To help inexperienced players choose the right character, each character has a difficulty level, which clearly indicates which characters are the most difficult to play as a quality.

Many MOBA fans also appreciate the fact that HotS games rarely last longer than 30 minutes, making the game more manageable for those who can’t shut down their computer for an hour or more.

7. Heroes of the new

Newert’s heroes may be the last of the countdown, but this is one of our favorites. The graphic style comes very close to the dark themes of the Diablo franchise. Newerts heroes may not be popular with celebrities like League of Legends or DOTA 2, but he is indeed hailed as one of the most polite and balanced MOBAs.

As you can imagine, Heroes of Newerth is played as a traditional MOBA from top to bottom, pushing stripes, attacking key strategic points and destroying enemies with a wide range of powerful capabilities. You can also earn in-game currency, which you can use to buy items to improve the skills of your characters in the game against the player in battle.

As you can see, there are many great MOBA-like games that you can play. Most of them are free and risk-free, but many have built-in purchases that allow you to equip your character(s) with cool new cosmetics, unlock your characters and much more.
